Flex Those Muscles!

Everything in your life is a gift. Adversity is your opportunity to strengthen your resolve and grow grander, and fly free… like the butterfly!

It’s an amazing and complex process for a caterpillar to become a butterfly that involves spinning itself into a cocoon, digesting itself, (except for imaginal disks for the body parts necessary for its transformation), and finally emerging triumphantly from its cocoon as a magnificent creature.

I once heard a story of a kind hearted woman who noticed a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. (more…)

Are You a Victim?

I was a victim for most of my life. I didn’t know any other way to be!

At a critical time in my youth, I was unjustly accused, judged and convicted by my grandfather. I lost my power and my freedom. And so, for most of my life, I blamed my family for my emotional issues; my grandfather for being verbally abusive, tyrannical, and insensitive; my mom for not standing up for me; and my father for abandoning me as a baby. I was unable to function as a grown woman, because I felt like a victim. I was stuck in the past, blaming others for my issues. I had severe asthma and a difficult marriage. Life was bleak.

Blaming others kept me stuck in a holding pattern, without any power to change my reality.

I never knew I could change what I thought and how I perceived my life. Who knew? I just accepted that things had happened and that’s the way things were. The idea that I could shift my thoughts, forgive the past and take responsibility for myself in the moment was totally beyond my grasp. (more…)

Join Me On The Marketers Cruise!

Last year, when Harrison and I were invited to cruise through the Caribbean with Mike Filsaime and Captain Lou and over 400+ marketers in January, I was skeptical.

I  envisioned a humongous pitchfest of aggressive marketers trying to sell me their products, and I wanted no part of it. I’m a heart centered, holistic, coach and mentor. I just wasn’t sure this cruise would be a good fit for me.

Surprisingly, nothing could have been further from the truth. It was, in fact, a huge mastermind of wonderful people, who shared their best marketing tips and strategies freely to help me reach a bigger audience. It was also a fabulous networking experience… and there were other heart centered folks there are well!
