Setting good boundaries can have a tremendous impact on your overall well-being.
Appropriate boundaries create integrity and when you honor your own “yes” and respect your own “no”, others will too.
Having and keeping good boundaries will also help you maintain a higher vibration because you won’t be letting other people’s stuff in. Recognizing your boundaries allows you to quickly exit a situation that feels wrong, or may be draining you.
One great way to tell if you need to set better boundaries is to pay attention to how your physical body reacts in any particular situation or interaction with another person.
If you begin to feel uncomfortable, chances are someone is stepping across your boundaries.
Here’s the thing though: people can’t tell what your boundaries are until you know them yourself and are able to clearly articulate them.
To keep and maintain your joy, you need to be very clear about what is, and what is not, acceptable to you.
Imagine yourself as a home owner who installs a very visible fence around the property. Anyone walking by knows where your land starts and ends.
Boundaries can’t necessarily be seen but they can be felt so make sure you know the lay of your “land”.
